This was actually my client’s 4th photoshoot with me, and what an interesting journey it has been. Three years ago, she had actually scheduled a maternity shoot with me, when a week before her shoot she unexpectedly went into early labor. She actually sent me a text from her hospital bed crying at how she wasn’t going to be able to get the maternity pictures that she had always dreamed of. So I thought about it and came up with the idea, to instead do some beautiful “mommy and me” images with her newborn baby. Fast forward 3 years and she was pregnant again, so we finally had a 2nd chance to capture her beautiful baby bump! This time we strategically planned ahead and she came in early for her maternity pics, as we were nervous she could have another early delivery. Once we had those gorgeous images under our belt we decided to also wait a few more weeks until her baby bump blossomed even more and then do a follow-up shoot. Here are a few images from her shoot. I absolutely love shooting maternity boudoir, there is nothing more beautiful than a pregnant woman and appreciating your body for naturally knowing what to do and growing a new life inside of you. Through my own pregnancy I really started to have a new appreciation for my body, instead of being so critical of myself I started to be appreciative of my body for allowing me to carry a baby and bring her into the world healthy. I typically suggest the 7th month pf pregnancy is the perfect time to come in for your maternity photoshoot, that way your belly is in full bloom but your don’t feel overly bloated. But with that being said, I have also photographed women at full-term and their pictures turned out gorgeous. I actually never got maternity pictures of my own babybump and it’s one of my biggest regrets. These type of images make for the most stunning wall art for your home and then you can remember forever how beautiful you felt during your pregnancy! So that you aren’t stressed about finding the right outfits for your shoot, I have so many maternity photography gowns, dresses, robes, white sheets, bralettes, and other outfits here in the boudoir closet, that we can use for for your shoot so that you don’t have to stress about outfits.
